The Mountain course offers spectacular vistas. From the natural lake on #4 to the exquisitely carved bunkers on #5 and the elevated tees on holes #7 and #9, this course challenges beginners and veterans alike. Each hole has been designed to test the golfer's skill and yet maintain the natural beauty surrounding the course. Lone oaks, native to the property, will greet you on holes #2, #3, #4 and #5. |
Mountain #5, Par 4 One of the architect's favorites, hole #5 is the shortest par 4 on this nine, measuring from 282 (Oak tees) to 373 (Hawk tees) yards. The views from #5 tee are one of the best on the entire course. Two natural rock formations mix with five fairway bunkers to challenge the tee shot. A short second shot, negotiated over more intimidating bunkers, should put you on this massive, undulating green.

Mountain #3, Par 4
One of the most challenging holes on the course, this par 4 curves around a creek on the right. Standing on the elevated tee with the wind in your face, make sure to keep your tee shot towards the bunkers on the left for a better angle for your approach shot. Many make the mistake of cutting the right side too much and end up having to drop a second ball. After a good drive, an accurate, well-hit second shot is required to reach the large but severely sloping green. |
