Cinnabar Hills Golf Club “Summer Series”

 

The Summer Series will consist of 3 tournaments

4th Annual Par 3 Championship 2-Person Alternate Shot (18 Holes) - June 7th

“Impossible Pins” Par 3 2-Person Scramble (9 Holes) - June 28th

“Front Tips” 2-Person Chapman Scotch (18 Holes) - July 19th

 

Points will be awarded for each tournament based on the Fed Ex PGA point system.  Prize money will be distributed for each tournament, as well as for the overall point standings.  (Cinnabar Hills Gift Cards)   

Players MUST have a current NCGA/USGA index or will play with a 0 handicap

Field Size: 72 Players (36 Teams) – Sign-up for one or two events or sign-up and pay for all three to secure your spot in each tournament.  Availability for the 2nd and 3rd tournaments will be dependent on the number of teams to sign up for all three.


Par 3 Championship - Friday, June 7th, 2019 - 3:00 Shotgun

This will be a 18 - Hole tournament played on the Canyon and Mountain Courses in an Alternate Shot format.  
All Holes will be played as Par 3’s

Per Person Entry Fee: (Includes Golf, shared cart, prize fund, post round drink ticket and appetizers):

Annual Member - $30         Hawk Member - $50             Non-Hawk - $70


“Impossible Pins” Par 3 - Friday, June 28th, 2019 - 4:00 Shotgun

This will be a 9 - Hole tournament played on the Lake Course in an Scramble Shot format.   
All Holes will be played as Par 3’s and pins will be placed in “impossible” positions

Per Person Entry Fee: (Includes Golf, shared cart, prize fund, post round drink ticket and appetizers):

Annual Member - $20         Hawk Member - $40             Non-Hawk - $60


“Front Tips” Chapman Scotch - Friday, July 19th , 2019 - 3:00 Shotgun

This will be a 18 - Hole tournament played on the Lake and Canyon Courses. 
  All Holes will be played from the Oak Tees (furthest forward) in a Chapman Scotch Format.

Per Person Entry Fee: (Includes Golf, shared cart, prize fund, post round drink ticket and appetizers):

Annual Member - $35         Hawk Member - $55            Non-Hawk - $75


Tournament Formats

Par 3 Championship - Friday, June 7th, 2019 - 3:00 Shotgun

This will be a 18 - Hole tournament played on the Canyon and Mountain Courses in an Alternate Shot format.  Team Handicaps will be half of both players combined handicap then multiplied by 60% for playing all par 3’s.
 

Skins: An optional $20 per team Skins game will be available. The Skins portion of this tournament will be Gross.  No Handicaps.  Participation in the skins portion is optional.  Cash Payout.

“Impossible Pins” Par 3 - Friday, June 28th, 2019 - 4:00 Shotgun

This will be a 9 - Hole tournament played on the Lake Course in a Scramble format.  Team Handicaps will be based on the USGA recommended method: 35% of the low handicap and 15% of the higher handicap multiplied by 60%. The course will be set up extremely tough. Tee shots will be long and hard; pins will be tucked; nerves will be tested!

Skins: An optional $20 per team Skins game will be available. The Skins portion of this tournament will be Gross.  No Handicaps.  Participation in the skins portion is optional.  Cash Payout.

“Front Tips” Chapman Scotch - Friday, July 19th , 2019 - 3:00 Shotgun

This will be a 18 - Hole tournament played on the Lake and Canyon Courses.  Team handicaps will be based on the USGA recommended method: 60% of the low handicap and 40% of the higher handicap. All holes will be played from the front Oak tee markers. Each player will tee off. They will then proceed to hit their partner’s drive for the 2nd shot. After both 2nd shots have been played, the best remaining ball will be selected and the players will alternate shots until the ball has been holed.

Skins: An optional $20 per team Skins game will be available. The Skins portion of this tournament will be NET.  ½ strokes on handicapped holes.  Participation in the skins portion is optional.  Cash Payout.


After each Tournament: Each player will receive one (1) drink ticket for a beer or house wine upon completion of the round.  Appetizers will be served in the restaurant for all participants.  There will be an awards presentation following the completion of scoring.
